Weekly Weigh-in and Boy Stuff

So I have decided to officially call my wednesday weight the official one for the week. Somehow it's when I see my lowest numbers, and I might as well get to lower that ticker! I weighed in yesterday and 191.2! Wehoo!

I've been thinking about Catherine's post, and my one before that, about guys caring about how we had lost weight. Tonight I'm hanging out with someone I've been seeing in a more... physical sense. He called me, saying he wanted to watch movies and eat Chinese food. This is progress - a non booty-call! But I'm also nervous about eating in front of him. I may just tell him if it comes up (not eating much or getting stuck)... Although not dating, per-se, we have been hanging out for a couple of months now, and I want to just feel open with him. And if he reacts badly... Well fuck him. Or not, actually.

I can't wait to see what happens with both of you when you open up to a guy. That has been a hesitation with me because I am single. I am happy that there are some people out there who are worried about this issue as well. I wish that I could be one of the lucky ones that have a super supportive husband or boyfriend....on the other hand at least you can use this as a guidepost to see if someone is really worth a damn...because if they would care about banding...then they are obviously not worth it. Thanks for sharing this with all of us in the same boat.

OMFG! I'm being deadly serious here - you and I have been around the same weight in losing for ages and when I saw your number on the scale I converted it and holy heck - that is mine also as of this morning.. 86.8 kilos... I kid you not lol I almost fell over backward. Yayy Angie - it's finally coming back off for you...

As for the guy thing - maybe he will see you as just being one of these women who don't eat much - that can't be such a bad thing.. go with your gut as to what you tell him. If he reacts badly well, you summed it up pretty well, if not, then score!

I think you'll be surprised. I really don't think that most guys care if you used to be fat, or how you lost the weight. And if they do care they aren't worth wasting time over.

If you feel comfortable mentioning it to him just do it....but as everyone else has said go with your gut instinct! I ended up telling the guy I was seeing and he didn't take it very well....but I don't need to worry about it now...as it is all over....onto the next :)

I made us frozen pizza as the weather is crap out, and just ate a sliver with my salad. He didn't notice...

Glad that worked out! Interesting to hear your thoughts on this stuff. I totally don't think guys notice what we eat most of the time (just what we order).
